As a young girl, I loved the Lord
and went to our local Baptist Church. I attended Sunday school class and had my
Dad as my teacher. Anytime we had conventions and needed a delegate to attend
at another church, I was nominated to go. As a teenager I dated a minister and
was really "religious". Unfortunately, religion was not enough to save me once
I got hooked into the devil's snare. At age sixteen I began to grow further and
further away from the church and my father's teachings. Although in all the
mischief that I got myself into, in the back of my mind a voice was telling me
to leave the world of sin and follow Him. I knew that I was destined for a life
with the Master, Jesus Christ. So at age nineteen it was no surprise for me to
find myself on my knees in my apartment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, sobbing and
asking the Lord to forgive me of my sins and save me from them. A year later, I
walked into Double Portion Church in Tuscaloosa seeking something other than the
religion that I had always known and found the power of the Holy Ghost. I have
never been the same since that day. I sat under the ministry of Pastor Moss and
Sister Banks for two years and left the U. S. to make my home in Africa with the
man I married. There we have held several life-changing conventions, crusades
and revivals with Sister Sarah Banks. Everywhere that we have traveled, from
Congo to Gabon and France, we have seen signs, wonders and miracles following
the mighty woman of God. Sister Banks has been a pioneer in Africa and has
walked into some hard places, but God has always seen her through. As her
interpreter and team mate, I am very pleased to work under her ministry and wait
with great expectations for the mighty move of God in her future crusades.
